Compete and matches
Compete is the game mode where players can earn income by joining competitive matches. Each match works as a 4-player simulation, with an entry fee based on level and an economic result that depends on the final position.
What Compete is
Compete is one of the main ways to earn income inside BoardMasters. Instead of relying only on company financial management, the player can join competitive matches and obtain rewards based on performance.
Each match is played as a simulation with 4 players. To enter, players pay an entry fee, and that entry fee depends on the level of the hall or room.
When the match ends, the economic result depends on the final position. Depending on where each participant finishes, they may win or lose money inside the simulation.
Level halls
Halls organize matches by level. Access to each hall depends on the player company’s level.
This separates matches by difficulty and risk. Higher-level halls may have higher entry fees and also greater potential rewards.
Before joining a match, it is useful to check the available hall, the entry cost and the required level.
Rooms and match configuration
Inside each hall there are rooms. A room is the space where a match is configured and prepared before it starts.
The host, usually the first player who creates the room, can decide whether bots are allowed or not.
If the room allows bots, the host can start the match at any time, even if there are not 4 real players yet.
If the room does not allow bots, the match must wait until 4 real players have joined before it can begin.
This configuration lets players choose between faster matches with bots or fully multiplayer matches with real participants.
